Jeff, Wanted to drop you a line to let you know how satsified I am with your "Your Name sticks". I placed an order for some 7A Nylon tips last week or so, and man did they show up quick! That was primo because they showed up just in time for the weekend gigs. Everyone dug them. I really like how they're styled (fatter near the tip). The nice round tips give them good bounce. Promarks are more pointed and narrow. I was skeptical (die-hard Promark user)when I ordered them but now that I've put them to the test I'm sure you'll see future orders from me... I liked the weight and feel of the hornbeam quite a bit... regards O

They are great, I won't get a chance to play with them until Monday, but I will use them on my practice pad. I like the feel of them. I can't tell any difference in diameter, the only difference I can see is that the shoulder is bigger, which is good, and the tips are a little bit larger. I like them better than the zildjians, thanks.

Jeff, Got 'em! They look good and feel good. One problem I had with the Promark was the weight seemed to be inconsistent. I never weighed them, but I weighed yours. The weight is either 1.8 oz or 1.9 oz for all 10 sticks. That is excellent. Also, when I'd buy Promark, I'd have to roll about 10 pair to find 3 pair that weren't warped in any way. Out of 10 sticks only 2 were warped, but only a little. So little in fact, that I'd probably buy them if they were Promark. The other 8 sticks were perfectly round! Thanks and I'll be ordering more in the future!

What size is that extra pair with the bead tip? Could you make that size with a regular shaped tip? If so, that's what I'll order next time.

It's been a while since I placed an order but I'm ready for some more sticks. You're sticks are just too damn good! It's tough to break 'em! I've shredded the taper down to toothpicks and they still won't break. I've been through several pairs of Vic Firth and Vater and yours have outlasted all of them.


While I've only broken a few sticks, I did have a problem with the nylon tips coming off occasionally. Not really too big a deal since I just glued 'em back on when I could find 'em (or just pulled the tip off of a broken/shredded stick when I couldn't).


Anyway, I want to order 2 dozen 2B nylon tip sticks. I thought the last time I ordered that there was a form on your web site that I printed out and mailed in with my check. Also, I didn't see anything about the signature sticks and wondered if you are still doing that. I sent in my signature last time and you put that on my sticks. I'd like to do that again if possible.

The guy in the brown truck came to visit yesterday. He brought me a Christmas present. My wife one an ebay auction for thirteen pair of 5As from customdrumsticks.com. I have rolled all of them. Played each pair. Gave each stick a good thrice over. And I have to say they are better quality than I was expecting. All of them are straight. All but 3 sticks had the exact same balance. And they have a very natural finish/feel (look and touch) to them, they were treated, but they aren't slick like some name brand sticks I've played. The only test yet to be answered is how they hold up. I am a big time stick breaker, so if they can get through me, they should be fine for just about anybody. I strongly recommend customdrumsticks.com. The service I received was terrific, and all the e-mails/questions were answered in a very timely manner. Best thing was 13 pair of quality hickory sticks for less than $30.00... You can't beat that.

The first bunch of sticks showed up today. That was REALLY quick!!!
May I say that I am absolutely delighted with them! I used them @ rehearsal tonight. The printing is excellent. That aside, I love the way you have designed them, especially the "bullet" like tip, and the way the shaft is slightly thicker right at the (traditionally thin) end - this makes them especially responsive and "pingy" for press rolls and the like. And also tougher for the post grunge rock thing that my band do! I can honestly say that, feel wise, they are among the best sticks I have used thus far - rather like some Pro Mark sticks which I bought a while ago; tho' I can't remember which model. I have just passed your email address on to my Rehearsal Studio in the UK. At the moment, they sell crap quality sticks, and seem very interested in ordering stock from you.
As a small point of interest, I have an album coming out in the US, hopefully later this year (Sunjunky: self titled). And in the meantime, I will most certainly tell everyone I can about the exemplary service you provide...

I just want to follow up with you to let you know how happy I am with these sticks. I have been playing with the same pair since I got them, and they do not even look like they have had a whole night's use yet. The only thing that gives it away that I have been playing these so much is that the logo is partially worn off. In practice one day, I picked up another set of drumsticks that I had from before, and snapped one in half before the second song was over.
I gave away a pair to a guy who does a lot of recording in his studio. He is not a drummer, but he has a lot of drummers come in to record with him. I can't think of a better way to spread the Nervous Rex name!

It has been a while since I last ordered, and I still have 3 pairs from my previous order that I have not yet played! In fact, I see that my testimonial is there from my previous order, and I gotta tell you, I am still using that first pair for my practice pair!!!! I have been playing with the same drumsticks since July, and I am a pretty hard hitter! All of the ones I no longer have is from giving them away after gigs.

Hey Jeff, Sticks arrived yesterday. Haven't used them as yet (I will tonight) but I really like what I see so far. They feel good, the logo screening is nice, and they all passed the glass coffee table side roll test. Unless they snap in half or loose the tips during the first couple songs tonight (and I'm sure they won't) they look every bit as good, if not better, than the various "brand name" sticks I have been using.
Since you managed to get my band logo & signature all on a stick as well as you did I bet you can get just about anything on one.
I'm sure I'll be ordering more of these sticks in the very near future (especially since the setup charge is now out of the way). Do you have any other tip styles for your nylon tips? I prefer a bit less of the ball shape, more the pointed type (although these are fine if that's all you offer...I'm easy)
As much as I'd kind of like to keep the exclusive on using personalized sticks around these parts I'll still be sure to pass the word around about your sticks to the other drummers I know. Thanks!
